Pick the Vellum board first, then choose the workflow that matches what you already use in Discord.
In Discord, right-click a channel and choose Copy Link. Paste the whole link here. All channels must belong to the same Discord server.
Use a normal text channel where Vellum will post the permanent “Report a bug” or “Submit a suggestion” button.
This must be a normal text channel where Vellum can create private threads. It can be the same channel as above.
Use a Discord Forum channel, not a normal text channel. Vellum uses its tags to show each report’s current state.
Vellum shows only the lists this workflow needs. Match each one to the Discord tag that represents it, then add more lists only if your Forum uses them.
Press Detect Forum tags. Vellum starts with the few lists needed to collect, clean up, and finish reports. Each row links that Vellum list to the matching tag in Discord.
Choosing an existing list links it. Typing a new name creates that list on the Bug Reports page.
The defaults are suitable for most people. Change only what you understand, then continue.
Choose one of the Forum’s real tags. Detect them again in step 4 if you added a new tag in Discord.
Vellum uses Discord’s Message Content Intent to read existing Forum posts. It is already configured on the Vellum bot. Imported posts receive Tracked and are skipped later.
Private replies may be copied here. Use an author-only or staff-only channel.
Check the summary below. If anything is wrong, Vellum names the exact step you need to fix.
After saving, run /vellum-panel in that report channel once to post its permanent report button.
